Congress Building America Blitz Build 2005

Habitat for Humanity-Spokane invites you to participate in the Congress Building America Blitz Build 2005. With participation from area congressional leaders, Cathy McMorris, Senator Patty Murray and Senator Maria Cantwell, we will finish an entire city block of homes at 1700 E. Boone Ave. & Pittsburg .  Construction will begin June 1st and end June 22nd with home dedications. The completion of this build will mark a special moment for Habitat families that have already moved in and 6 more who will receive their keys.The theme for Blitz Build, 2005 is Congress Building America (CBA). It is a partnership program between Habitat for Humanity International and the U.S. Congress. The goal of the program is to strengthen neighborhoods and communities by bringing members of Congress together with local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, volunteers, corporate sponsors and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to build simple, decent affordable houses with families in need.
